A large vintage factory machinist industrial articulated wall light by MEK-ELEK London, circa the 1930s-50s.
It has 3 arms and extends up to approximately 138cm from the wall.
Wall plate approximately 10cm diameter.
Original dark green paint, enamel shade and MEK-ELEK LONDON sticker.
Original cog joints give the lamp its stability and flexibility.
The articulated arms give a complete 360° movement and the head swivels too.
It has maker stamps to various places of the lamp including the joints and shade - see photos.
Supplied PAT tested and rewired with a new switched bayonet (B22) lamp holder and traditional twisted black cable.
Currently wired with a 3-pin plug to plug into a wall socket like any lamp with a very generous 270cm of cable until the plug.
Or you could wire the lamp to go into the mains as originally intended as there's a cavity for a connection block, etc. - see photos.
Some losses to paint in places and sticker - see photos.
