Made by Orme Evans & Co. Ltd., probably in the 1930s, this large, round, cream and green enamel bread bin is a real beauty, as is the matching smaller flour bin.

Cream colour to the body, classic vintage green handles and rim, with superb art deco lettering to both. They even come with the original Prince of Wares paper labels, which is a very rare sight indeed.

Wonderful display pieces or for everyday use.

I imagine they must have been for a large country house or townhouse kitchen judging by their size.

(Price is for the pair or drop me a line if you want to buy either on their own.)

Condition:

Very good all over, no holes or splits, just the usual dings with patches of worn enamel as expected with enamelware of this age, mostly around the lids - see photos. The inside, the body and the bottom are in remarkably good condition. The paper label is better on the flour bin.
