Super. Not too big, not too small and not cut down so you can still get your legs under it. A useful table with an impressive hinge mechanism for the gate legs which I haven't seen before and can't find anything similar so far online, so maybe quite rare.

The top may be very slightly later but still in keeping with the whole, above a single draw (with a later drawer pull but still old), moulded sides, above a bobbin-turned base and bobbin-turned single gates terminating with turned feet.

In very good condition throughout, with blemishes and ink stains to the top as expected, no signs of past woodworm, no movement, sturdy and strong.

It has a deep, rich colour and a wonderful patina.

Surviving from the late 17th century or early 18th century.

Height: 73cm
Width leaves down: 82cm
Length leaves up: 110.5cm
