A nice Art Deco-style 2-tier light oak Globe Wernicke stacking bookcase, sometimes referred to as a solicitor or barrister bookcase, with original labels, circa 1930s.
It features glazed doors on hinges that open upwards and a stacking, modular design comprising of two tiers, a bottom and a top.
It's also a very useful size for putting lamps, ornaments, books, etc. on top.
In very good condition, just the expected wear and tear for its age. Original handles, the glass is all intact and the doors work well with original fittings. At some point a small metal protector has been put on each foot to stop the floor from being scratched (you can't see these unless you turn the bottom section upside down). I've left these on.
Written in chalk on the back is '4286 John Sanders'.
