A gorgeous six plank 18th-century oak coffer or chest, with gentle arch-shaped cut sides. It is in excellent condition and has a lovely grain pattern and patina built up over the last 300 years - the photos don't really do this piece justice.
Perfect as a coffee table or side table, in the hallway, at the end of your bed - eye-catching and versatile.
The lid is ever so slightly warped (hardly noticeable to be honest) and the hinges are later. There is a lock but no key. There are some small areas of very old woodworm which I've treated for peace of mind nonetheless.
