Well-made 18th century 4-drawer oak bureau sitting on bracket feet.
Super patina and wonderful medullary rays on the surface of the quarter-sawn timber.
The fall front opens to reveal 6 open compartments, 6 drawers and a central compartment.
Dovetail joints to the main drawers and also the small internal drawers.
Wonderful brass loop handles with octagonal roses too.
In excellent condition all round.
A very beautiful and useful piece.

Excellent condition, with wear and tear commensurate with age - see photos.
There are a couple of small bits of cock beading missing, but hardly noticeable.
The key works the lock on the fall front fine, but the small plate on the non-lock side is missing, so the top doesn't lock.
Small handle for the central compartment door is missing as is the escutcheon for the central compartment lock.
